Naturally, vitamin D is needed by our body and it comes in two sources. You can get vitamin D from the direct rays of sunlight and from the foods that we intake.

Direct sunlight is the main source of vitamin D in the hot places like in Africa and some South East Asian countries. As of today, it is still considered so we see some other people tend to expose themselves in a direct sunlight. But there is a problem to the people who are living in an area where there is not enough sunlight that could give them vitamin D that they needed. With this situation, foods come to take the place of direct sunlight as vitamin D provider. That is why it is very important to be particular to the foods to eat to be able to meet what our body needs to have a normal healthy life.

Vitamin D is not only obtained through a single kind of food or a single family of edible foods. This kind of vitamin can be found in either the animal meat, sea animals or from vegetables that we eat. Other sources of this vitamin are margarine, juices specifically the orange juice and the cereal foods commonly eaten during breakfast and snack time. But, if you are aiming to have a healthy living along with this vitamin, food diet may not be enough. And vitamin D supplement is very essential plus exercise under the morning sunlight.
